Difference between playtex gentle glide and sport and what tampon should i get?

i have heard that playtex sport and gentle glide are pretty much the same but sport is shorter and not as bulky so more comfy. is that true? right now i am using tampax pearl regular with plastic applicator and unscented (never scented or cardboard! :P) what do you like and why? im using my moms tampons since i hate pads. i need to go and get my own and try some different brands but what do you think is good for beginners? i am not gunna try u by kotex now cuz i dont think they are right for me from what ib heard. i may try them later but right now i just wanna be sure. thx.
