What are the best jazz artists that you want to recommend?

Cole Porter, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sara Vaughn are all good singers. If you are into the big band stuff try Duke Ellington. His early stuff is mostly big band swing, but then goes into Bebop with smaller bands later in his career.
