Why does my new tattoo already look faded?

I just got a tattoo done on Wednesday, and I only got the black parts done. I have been cleaning it using non-scented Dove soap on it with cold water. Then, after that I put on a layer of A&D ointment. Then I let it air dry. I did this 3 times per day for the last two days, and now part of my tattoo looks faded. I have been avoiding direct sunlight, letting it breathe and I was very gentle cleaning it. Will this fading go away and the tattoo show properly?
