Have you ever sent fan mail to someone, and if so, did you get a response?

I've sent some to Orson Scott Card, JK Rowling and John Green. I got a letter from JK Rowling's publishing company and a sticker with her signature on it. I got a personal email back from Orson Scott Card (which was awesome!) and I didn't hear back from John Green (but that's okay because he's awesome).
